As the pictured board is. Not cleaned.
What would it grade as?
Also. If I cut the board at the black line I drew on it. Would it be a good idea?
If you look. You will see a dotted line put on by the manufacturer. Labeling one side hot. The other cold. Basically where I drew my line. Also. Seemily separating a Mid Grade section from a High Peripheral section. If you can see what I mean.
OR! Should I just clean the transformers off. Remove the large capacitor. Also all the small coils.(labeled L). What would it go as then? If it grades as High Peripheral. That's the best choice. In my opinion.
Looking for input. A real e-scrapping question. Especially if one has a large number of boards.
Here to learn like everybody else.
My evaluations are my own opinion.
It's complicated.

the right side of that board is obviously very poorly populated so i don't see why it would hurt it to cut that side off... i agree that i think the left side is worth more by itself in my opinion.

The bottom board came back as Low Peripheral from F.R.E.D.
I have now cleaned some junk off and resubmitted.
So. We wait.

bw489822. I studied a bit about going into retirement. One thing is to have Structure. This e-scrap interest is a part of my structure. I never did e-scrap ever. Till I went into retirement. I do things that seem impractical to full time e-scrappers. But. I try to contribute what I know to the forum.
Yes. I do have a lot of time. And. It's my time.
I am currently looking at the possibility of expanding this interest.
Ok. Enough said.

The board came back Low Peripheral. I think a bad move to clean. Now I am cutting the board. And submitting the picture shown. Looking to get High Peripheral.

Nope. F.R.E.D. put it at Low Peripheral.
Should have left the board. Untouched. Uncleaned.
A valuable lesson.

That luckily wasn't too expensive of a lesson learned!! Thanks for sharing your findings on that because I was beginning to make piles of boards I thought I could do similar to!!! Appreciate you sharing all of that.
