 Post subject: Question on backplanes

Hello.The following are pictures are backplanes from cisco catalysts. My question is do you think I would get full backplane prices on these? They are heavy small one is 3.5 lbs. and the large one is just over 8 lbs. Also would it affect the price to take the tantalum off? Lastly are the black ones in pic five tantalum too?

They COULD go backplane, wait for a mod, and removing things from the board devalues it and you'll get less.

The silver rack I/o boards will always go as backplane. Like yours.
Gold ones will be backplane or telco depending on multiple factors.
The black capacitors are CMCs. No don't remove either type.
Don't remove anything other than steel and socketed CPUs unless specifically told to do so; from anything higher than midgrade.
