First, thank you for your time.
I have a general idea of which board is which but I want a quick ID on some things by the pros. I fear shipping miscategorized material. I know my questions may give you the idea I did zero research but I just have a fear of being wrong. If everything isn't 100% accurate on the preshipment form will they correct it or do I have to be dead on?

I hope the pics are clear enough to read the numbers.

17)gold finger card
18)backplane
19)lowgrade remove wires send separated, worth more.

The boards in second photo all low grade EXCEPT small one may be mid or peripheral rate. Need better photo of it.

Vcr-- as is you have 2 options locally as an electro magnet (cbm1 usually) or board sort as low grade. Or snap thr board of for peripheral and sell the coil ring locally as cbm#3. Call and ask your local yard what they pay for electro magnets and vcr heads. Compare prices to peripheral beyond that statement needs its own thread.

Powerboard is low grade with or without al so remove the speeaders al is worth more. May be better locally if the have a class for them as cbm3 (10-20c)

As long as you've got atleast a few ounces you're ohkay sending a class in. They take heatsinks but your better locally unless you're shipping flat rate (usps/fedex) or freight.

All low grade.

Peripheral or telco. Needs to be reviewed on site.

1) peripheral
2)peripheral
3) low grade

9)peripheral
10)gold finger card
11)midgrade or peripheral need flip side
12)gold finger card
13)gold finger card
14)peripheral

Leave finger cards alone. Removing anything drops them to peripheral or worse.

I have a question about the GFC. You told be not to touch them or they become P or worse.
Question is IF I'VE ALREADY TOUCHED THEM, is it wise to go ahead and trim off the fingers and seperate? Seems like that couldn't hurt.

Thanks again for all your help!

that's difficult to answer. If you removed chips yes you're probably best at this point cutting off the fingers, removing the brackets and most will probably clear peripheral. If you've removed all the chips you're looking at low or midgrade.

Power boards there --low grade. Lens arrays midgrade

The two LED boards (larger brown and green) are low grade.
The small brown vacuum screen is low grade without pins, midgrade if it has silver mini pins on back. The white one is midgrade. Fans are best locally. The big LCD screens... not for board sort but are valuable if not cracked. Google
buy sell Used lcd
Buy sell used screen

The tablet board top right is telco. The one on top of the pile will also probably be telco.
Rest looks good for cell phone board class

Boardsort buys all wire at one rate. Locally you'd probably have to sort that box. Or take high grade shred (15-35¢). Sorted properly you'll get more locally.
Just from the photo you have insulated copper, some silver/tin nickel/tin and #2 in that box.
Unsorted boardsort is better

1) peripheral
2) peripheral
3) midgrade. (Cbm2 locally)

Again you helped a lot...thank you very much.

Now last question: if I send everything in and its not perfectly separated and accounted for/labeled on the "sell material" quote form do they correct it and pay accordingly?
I have it in my head that I have to be dead on in listing everything I send and down to the last oz accurate? Is this process easier than I've thought? I plan to ship about 15-20lbs of material.

One board isn't going to hurt you. Everyone makes mistakes every so often.
10 metalsocket motherboards in your batch of 50 large sockets... you're looking for a downgrade. A single peripheral board in telco won't.

As for weight you should be as close as you can be. Not everyone has an accutech scale and they're aware of that. ± an ounce or two and you don't have a problem. Off by a few pounds and they won't be happy. By a tonn? Well I have no idea what they'd do there but I'd expect some angry messages ;)

New customers' shipments are reviewed more carefully than established ones. The closer to the mark the more money they make and the better they can pay us down the line.
You have a fair amount of more exotic stuff that blurs boundaries, much like most of my shipments.
Some of those mobile boards for instance, and consumer electronics.
If you like this service and continue to use them (we all hope you do), you'll find yourself in a category like myself and a few other users where everything needs to be reviewed.
I call us category benders.
We send stuff that makes them scratch their heads and say what. Sometimes we get some stuff bumped up (tablet from peripheral to cell) and sometimes it gets sent down (rom chips in telco, not ram) . And that's good learning for both parties.
Been a few years now and I still get occasional emails asking what something is from them.
But my local yards give me the same reaction on some of my scrap (where did this come from, it's plastic and scans as nickel).

Whenever you're stumped just post a photo and ask. That's what the forums are for.
