I have a number of industrial breakers. I’m aware there’s silver contacts but I don’t know where they are/what they look like. Are these pads on the copper them? (There appeared to be another piece elsewhere — not sure if there’s a pair of contacts on each side or just one)

Yes, the rectangular bits with tapers are the contacts. They will most likely be an alloy. Been awhile since I've had any but tungsten is a common metal added to. Along with others...

Had a silversmith semi-local that I asked whether or not he could use the contacts and the answer was basically, no way, too many potentially toxic elements to contend with. Suggested I try kitco (where he sent his scraps) if I ever decided to sell.
