Hi All,

I found several boiler control boards yesterday. They have some sort of flame retardant or moisture proofing reddish coating. Does Boardsort accept these boards and/or harvested ics from these ?
I have never come across this before.

Typically boards coated with sealant are classified as "automotive board without box". How many do you have? Sometimes the grade can be higher even with the coating.

Stuff like this will almost assuredly be automotive board or one of the peripherals, likely low peripheral.
About the only way to know for sure is to actually send one in. With sealants and coatings you don’t know for sure without testing on site.

One minor possibility to check, is take a good look at those quads. The big ones. There’s a small possibility they are PGA chips in sockets.
