I am new to this site, I would like to know if board sort takes the boards from flat screen TV's and what grade are they. Also what about the thin boards in flat screen TV's they are at the bottom of the TV and I can see the gold on them, what grade are the classified as.

Yes. Boardsort takes those types of boards. They will be found in various grades. But. You must post a photograph for forum members to inspect the boards for an opinion on a category.

TVs can be a pain to disassemble and ensure everything gets recycled. You'll have plastic and an lcd and potentially fluorescent bulbs if it's old enough. The material in the lcd screen is toxic if it enters your bloodstream so be sure to not break the glass and wear gloves if it's already broken. Boardsort won't want the lcd so you'll have to find somewhere else to take that. Plastic and bulbs should be easier to deal with but depending where you live that may also be a challenge.

Do take pictures though to be most certain of grades, as what your describing could vary depending on what's on it.

And welcome to the forum!

You may want to check with your township or municipality.

My father's and my townships take tvs/crts. We take a few over each month.

First we take them apart and remove as much of the goodies as we can. Then we rescrew the plastic shells back together and drop them off.
