Hello all,

I have a big box full of these guys, I'm pretty sure all are laptop motherboards. I removed heatsinks and batteries and want to pack and ship them to Boardsort.

Since this is my first time, thought it may be a good idea to post some pics beforehand and ask - are these boards ready to be shipped and classified as laptop motherboards?

It's basically a real life version of tetris. Try to fill gaps with boards that best fit that gap. Turn them over or rotate them as needed. And you can always try to compress them forcibly to try and squeeze a few more in before carefully closing and taping the box (be sure you get your invoice in the box first).

OP personally when I ship I try and keep each material item packaged together. Boards are sharp and can cut through cardboard fairly easy. Best bet is to add some filler items to your load so they don't bounce around and cut open the box.

I, personally, will wrap and entire bundle of a specific category in bubble wrap but that is my own preference. I have never had enough material to send an entire box worth so in your case I would do as marked said and play tetris.

I'd probably put some bubble wrap on the bottom of your box. The sides of your box. and them some on the top of your box if you are only sending laptop MBs in that shipment. I am overly cautious and maybe overkill.

If you tetris it correctly into the most appropriate size box, the boards shouldn't shift around much which will protect the box from the boards. If you can lay boards flat against each cardboard face the boards will act as an extra layer of protection to themselves. Then you just have to tape the box up to protect the edges.
