I'm new to this forum, and fairly new to the E-scrapping community. As this site is relatively foreign to me, I want to make that I am understanding it all correctly.
Let us say I have 60 IBM X3550 M5 Dual CPU Server Motherboards(roughly 480lbs), which I believe to be classed under "Metal multi socket server motherboards" here (Please correct me if I am wrong). It is to my understanding that if I sorted and shipped these all in according to Boardsort's requirements, at their current price of $5.35/lb I would receive $2,568. Would this be correct?

Also, don't forget your packaging material costs. 60 boards is going to be quite heavy so check with Pirate Ship if you plan on shipping them.

Also, for the shipping address use the store location you ship from. You can select your address as the return address but if you drop them at a store use that address for shipping cost.

I made the mistake of using my home address and shipping was significantly higher vs if I used the UPS store's address.

Depends on location: if you and your drop location are in different zones or regions depending on shipper than it could save you cash

There are in different zip codes, idk about zones. But I'll keep that in mind

USPS has 8 conus zones currently I believe.
DHL and UPS are more intriguing.

Keep in mind 2 things when using the store address. If it comes back

If you don’t have your name and phone number on file (eg account, off site box, drop ship) it won’t show up when they run your name. Box goes straight ti recovery/ lost/ etc for the company.

If you don’t have a very good relationship with the shipping company/location they may charge you for a return coming in.

For the post office if you’re using a service there’s a way around this completely. “Enter the shipping zip code”
I’ve used this on the road to send stuff locall-ish using my home address and account.
Just make sure you actually ship the package from the shipping zip code.

Pirate ship allows you to use the store address as your shipping location. There is a section you can also check for return address. I made sure to fill out each section differently.

I work in PA (over 50 miles away) and live in Southern NJ.

And you are the textbook case of zone shopping. New England is a gigantic mess of zones due to local and regional rules.
