First, what category does it fall into at Boardsort? Second, I've been removing the types of things I have circled in one of the pics because I THINK they're junk. Must I or can I just leave them on for more weight? BTW: I do NOT depopulate any of the "good stuff" on the boards. Thanks. Have a wonderful weekend.

Peripheral High Grade most likely, but it might be low telco with 3 gold tabed flat packs, and you don't need to remove the caps.

The number of chips overall (37 at least by my count) I'd be leaning toward low telco too.

I don't routinely remove any components that are soldered on, especially if I don't have a bucket for it already. It saves me time and it saves me from creating space to store extra stuff until it gets sold. Pieces of steel/aluminum/copper/brass/plastics get removed depending on what it's on and how much there is and how easy it is to remove. Removing an aluminum heatsink from a low grade board when I can't get at it without smashing it to bits (might be fun but) I'll pass. If that heatsink is copper, I'll spend a little more time on it. If it's a steel brace running down an otherwise high telco board that drops to peripheral at best, I'll remove the steel.

These are things I do, cause it works for me and my situation right now.
