Wanted to post a couple groups of nontraditional gold finger boards and try to get some clarification on a few points. Emailing Chris to see if he can chime in on this post.
Finding conflicting info in the forums on backplane with gold fingers and where they go and if the fingers can be removed if they still go in backplane.

A couple other sets of cards mostly from servers im tearing down. Some look high telecom to me and others I don't have a clue. Oscar tells me everything from high peripheral to high grade nonsata hdb to, high telecom..on the one i wouldn't think was

Technically Lostinlodos is correct with his assesment.

I will say that we will accept backplane as fingercard if:

1: They have a full set of fingers and not just a small tooth worth.

2: The expansion slots are gold plated inside.

3: No junk, metal, caps, heatsinks, no nothing. Chips and gold pins are ok obviously.

If all 3 conditions are met, you can place in gold finger card.

Thank you for your response Boardsort! Was finding conflicting info in previous posts with some saying backplane and others saying they were accepted as gfc when they delivered in person. Your explanation clears it up.

Although I usually don't intentionally depopulate is it acceptable to remove gold fingers from ones that won't qualify as GFC?

You could and would get midgrade and gold fingers.
It’s better as backplane for the payout.

This has been coming up frequently recently and I've referenced this post but it seems like there's still some confusion (maybe it's my own). These conditions seem pretty straightforward and they all have to be met otherwise boards like this go backplane, correct?

To put this to bed for a permanent reference:
For a clean Gold finger card you require

A full size Gold connector end
Multiple gold plated connector sockets
No gigantic capacitors
No riveted steel sled or tray
No transformer
