I have different telco boards from a 4g tear out. I’m new to the board space and need help identifying. Some boards have built in hard drives on them. The customer requires a hole drilled in the drive. How will this affect the grading/pricing if any. Thank you

Using Boardsort standards as the best I can. I consider myself new to this escrapping. All that pictured is Low Telecom. If at that. You got a lot of metal on those boards. Removing "junk" appreciates the value(price per pound). Look at the Boardsort escrap price list. Watch the videos in the Low Telecom and High Telecom categories.

Remove anything that isn't soldered directly to the board and the battery. Things may be socketed or screwed or clipped on and may be metal or plastic or other peripheral boards.

AS is these would probably be in a teardown class.
However, most if not all of these will yield boards that will be high telco once cleaned. Some of the daughter cards will be in different classes, mostly high peripheral.
The microdrives don't really have a class. once drilled would probably be near worthless, unless you managed to miss the chips? Also, there is not much weight to them once the steel case is removed.

Boardsort has the WHOLE SYSTEMS CATEGORY. Probably send it as Partial Server. Currently. $.25 cent a pound.

Well, it is still fairly early, I haven't finished my morning cup of black coffee as a stimulant and an eyewash so I am not see what the controversy is. All the metal/heat sinks seem to be easily removed, even breaking off the metal frame on one side, of if no gold connectors on that side, cutting the board to remove it.

As far as the hard drives go, is it just the socketed drives or am I missing something else? Those can easily be pulled and are solid state/flash drives. You'd want to essentially break the chips on the board. Essentially severing the connections inside the chips.
