This MB came out of a supermicro server and I’m having a tough time nailing down which grade it is. It has a large metal socket with 2 levers and a rectangular opening. Any help would be greatly
Appreciated as I have watched all the videos and can’t pinpoint where it should land.

I think you better email Boardsort. I am with you on being a confusing evaluation. There are 2 gold tab BGA chips. Also. High performance electrolytics. Which shows quality. Also some gold plated SMD fuses. In addition. Since it is a server board. I venture a guess that all the connectors are a better quality gold pin than a regular I series MB. So that board got to be better than I series even though there is the rectangular socket. Hopefully someone else will post who has seen what you have.

Thank you @catwhisker, I am glad to hear that I am not the only one that was stumped by this one. I will email them.

Location: I'm right here :D
I would lean towards it going in the metal socket no I-series. It's not a big drop from multi metal socket.

look forward to seeing if I'm close
