This is an old board(45+ years) from a local company.  I got it, and others at an estate sale, so I'm not exactly sure what it's out of.  It's two boards sandwiched together.  There are interlocking gold fingers between.  The cover was over that grid looking thing, which has very, very fine wiring to it. Obviously some old style of memory, based on the label on the cover.  Do i separate it? Leave it together?  OSCAR gives different advice for the top and bottom, and it has no way of seeing the gold fingers/pins in between.  Thanks for any advice.

You may want to do a search on Ebay.
Use the search "magnetic memory boards'.
Scroll. Scroll. Scroll. You will see various magnetic memory examples.
You will see magnetic memory boards similar to yours.
Consider your options. Those boards are selling for some hefty prices.
I am posting this so you will not be " crying in your beer". Later on down the road.
I haven't had a magnetic core memory board in my hands since 1978 or so. Back then that was considered so outdated. But. If your buying estate stuff. You know the value of the antique/vintage/retro market. Me personally. I have to consider what to scrap out or sell old electronics elsewhere. It's all a part of the scrap business overall. Experienced scrap people recognise that truth.
But. Will Boardsort buy your pictured boards? Yes.
You probably can sell as is. Acceptable for scrap market. You got gold fingers on those cards.
My opinion. You have 2 gold finger cards.
Look over the the escrap list. Pictures and videos. Also. Hopefully a real oldtimer who is experienced in escrap will chime in.
I joined here to sell off my old stuff. I considered myself a newbie. Many of Boardsort purchases are from people like you and me. " Got some electronics". "Will you buy it?"
I don't do scrapping for a living. Do your diligence on what you got.
Again. Boardsort will buy your boards.
