Hello all and thanks in advance for any help provided.

I have been struggling to identify hundreds of boards using Oscar and various YouTube sources. I have been through many pages of forum posts which have helped me immensely and cleared up many questions. There seems to be a lot of grey areas in the grading, especially in the TELCOM categories. There are several boards where Oscar says one thing and other sources conflict. I know Oscar is still in the early stages of development so that might be the problem, or it could be me.

File comment: I know this board is from a laptop docking station. Does it qualify as a laptop motherboard? I had it as Peripheral HI.

File comment: I am sure this is out of a laptop. Note the laptop-style RAM connectors just to the left of the CPU socket. Oscar says P4 Motherboard. Thoughts?

File comment: Oscar says Metal Socket No I Series. This is out of a Dell server that I took apart. The board is much larger than a normal motherboard. I don't see a category for single socket server boards. Thoughts?

I've only used Oscar a few times so far, seems to help to crop the photos to remove as much background as possible but as you said it's still early and learning so will take more time to get better.

The dock station board I'd say looks perph high, I know some later versions the chips get smaller and spread out therefore falling into perph low because the large connectors are more junk weight than valuable.

The brown board you think might be a laptop motherboard does look more like P4 motherboard to me. When I searched around IMPIP-M5 comes up on eBay as a HP Touchsmart 600 motherboard which is an All-In-One computer so you'd be better off keeping it in the P4 category, they usually use laptop size RAM but lack the component density of a laptop motherboard.

phone boards I still struggle with but I'd have doubts that is telecom unless its a populated cisco board, most others seem perph high to me as well.

As far as I'm aware a single socket server motherboard is considered to fall into the desktop category, so its just larger heavier version of metal socket no Iseries MB. I took a picture of a single socket server board for Oscar that had the markings for the 2nd socket stamped on, newer that yours so it would be metal socket I-series MB category. Oscar must have seen the stamping where a 2nd socket should be and called it dual metal socket server motherboard but as I said I'm sure since its missing the 2nd socket along with matching chipsets, components, RAM sockets it still falls back to desktop category just larger and more weight.

Last board I'd say you are correct, its more perph high. Only way that would be Telecom is if the chips were way bigger.
