The first pictures are rack mounted modulator boards from a cable headend.
I depopulated the right one and left one how it is. There are two styles. I also depopulated one a little bit and left one alone, because I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be taking that off. From what I gather I am though.

So should I proceed with depopulating? And what grade are they? I already shipped my first package and I'm liking what I've seen so far. Thanks for the help.

This is a board from an HD DirecTV receiver. I also have a bunch of DirecTV gold contact cards. Can't find any information on how much they go for. What grade is this? I know I need to take a little piece of metal off..

Edit:
Also, here is the front of the DirecTV receiver board. Do I leave all of these connections? They have gold contacts

Direct tv board as is I’d say low peripheral due to open space on board. Chance they could upgrade to high but I’d send in as low.

Boards in first photo I’d say are mid grade. If I’m correct, taking the cover plates off is only removing weight. Even if keeping them on put at low grade it’s still the same price. To be honest, I’m confident in my answer for myself, but I’d get a second opinion on these.

Second set of boards I’d say peripheral due to chips and connectors.

Connectors (minus the AV jacks) should be gold but should leave them on to keep the peripheral grade. Not worth taking them off.

Boardsort does not take SIM style cards.

That hasn't stopped me from removing as much plastic from them as possible and hoping one day to have enough to do something with.
