Been lurking & learning here for awhile -- first time posting. I've kept these chips aside, unsure of category etc. Please help!

I punched both chips off the motherboard of a Power Mac G5. They were located on the underside of the Motherboard with not much else populated around them; they were not in sockets.

Thoughts:

Curious if BoardSort would buy as gold tab BGA? Maybe, just maybe, Aluminum Top AMD??! (I see no pins...)

B - thinking it's ceramic with aluminum top. Google search says an IBM chip(?). Unsure if CPU class but if lower class then what??

Based on what I'm seeing from a search of "Pinless" and Lostinlodos for the author my guess is these will be pinless.

You can always weigh it with that material and have it clearly separated for Boardsort so they can correct the category if necessary.
