okay probably my last question, maybe not. but
Am i planning on sending in a 48x40x48 pallet of separate boxes of different grade boards. I think shipping is going to run me between 218 dollars and closer to 440 dollars depending on what i do.

1st question is, (have about 50 lbs of these DSU/CSU cards) what grade do you classify these



2nd Question is, which are these daughter boards



3rd question is, should i be removing the daughter boards from stuff like this
and is this telecom or higher



4th question. This back plane weighs at least 5 pounds. Should i attempt to remove the plastic for upgrade or leave as is? all the connectors are amphenol brand (if that is of any significance to anyone). All the holes are plated also,

1 and 2 are telco. Assuming 3 is the daughter board in 2 you can leave it be.
If not remove the db and the base is telco. Or gold cap (again if the chip has a gold metal cap it's a gold cap board) if the chip is yellow completely its not a gold cap rather painted )
4 is backplane. Period. Removing plastic gives you bp with less weight. :(
No sense in shaving the board either since isa slots don't have enough weight in pins to offset the board value loss
Last pic is backplane as is. No sense in removing the power sockets as there is no extra anything on the board for a bump.

Do remove that last board from the metal case though. Sending a backplane attached to a metal case is just plain naughty. :)*
I'm sure they'd get a laugh... and then pay you tower rate at 1¢ :'(

oh that last one that is verticle in the case, that one isnt going due to being a piller of support for my giant tower of telecom equipment. i think im going to send in 140 lbs today through ups, when sending the stuff in, do i need to seperate all of them into their respective classifications, orrr, will they be doing that when it gets down there. Im going to call them.

You can send single boxes but they want items segregated by category in the shipment.
If you mix them you'll get the lowest class of the box for all of them.
With large shipments (like yours) I use pallet sheets (large square sheets of cardboard). I Cut them to the size of the box to separate layers.

You can get them for frer from just about any large store. Go to the back and knock on the employees only door and ask for a stock persons.
Grocery stores and Walmart tend to be the most accommodating in my experience.

I would also suggest looking at fedex. Depending on your location they are usually cheaper on larger shipments and over all take better care of you property
