extra help appreciated in knowing how to id something as Telco, when i see the ones #5 and onward, i'm wondering what makes those Telco vs peripheral so i can know better how to ID a lot that i have (and will be posting my own pics of soon). i have some that look similar to the ones you graded as telco (similar to my eyes) but i figured them to be peripheral at best.

The misnomer in telco is ic quantity. It's not. It's ic density. 4 quarter inch ICs on a 1 inch brown board will probably clear telco where 50 c-20 dip ICs on a sixteen inch square board may well still be peripheral.
What I look for is thus:
IC/CPU density
The more ICs you have the better your chances of telco but the big thing to look for is how many more ICs you have per square inch.

Quality of the materials on the board e.g. CMCs vs al or PP capacitors and ceramic vs plastic ICs

Trace etching materials and with/without a sandwich layer

All that said there's no "rule" for telco. The bottom line on the class is telco is there to give special consideration to special boards of the other classes.
You'll find I often state something is barely or just there or borderline etc. All telco gets reviewed throughly. And it's up to them.
I can't guarantee anything I grade on the site unless I specifically say so. I will rarely say I'm positive on anything telco because there's so many factors.
