These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the BoardSort.com website, telephone system, text-messaging services, electronic-scrap purchasing services, and other services offered by Akron Canton Computer Recycling LLC, doing business as BoardSort.com.
By using our website or services, communicating with us, delivering or shipping material to us, or opting into our messaging program, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
BoardSort.com purchases qualifying electronic scrap and related recyclable material from walk-in customers and customers who ship material to our Alliance, Ohio facility.
Current material categories, preparation instructions, photographs, descriptions, and prices are available through the Price List link on the BoardSort.com home page.
Customers are responsible for properly identifying and sorting material before shipping or delivering it to BoardSort.com.
Different material categories have different values. Mixed, incorrectly identified, or unsorted material may require additional processing and may receive a substantially lower payout.
Photographs and descriptions shown on BoardSort.com are provided as identification aids. Final classification, acceptance, weight, and value are determined by BoardSort.com after physical inspection.
BoardSort.com does not purchase televisions, computer monitors, equipment containing hazardous chemicals or hazardous materials, or material that has already been processed to remove or recover the precious metals it originally contained.
Customers should review the current Price List before shipping or delivering material. BoardSort.com may refuse, return, dispose of, or assess handling costs for unacceptable material when permitted by law.
Prices shown on BoardSort.com or announced through our automated telephone system are subject to change without notice.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the price applicable to a transaction is the price in effect when BoardSort.com processes and classifies the material.
Online and telephone prices are informational and do not constitute a guaranteed quote before inspection.
Walk-in customers may sell qualifying material at our Alliance, Ohio facility during published purchasing hours. No appointment is normally required.
A valid state-issued photo identification must be presented by anyone selling material in person. Photo identification is not required solely because a customer ships material by mail or freight.
Walk-in sellers should arrive by the published seller arrival deadline so sufficient time is available to inspect and process the material.
Customers are responsible for securely packaging, accurately addressing, and lawfully shipping their material.
BoardSort.com is not responsible for loss, damage, delay, misdelivery, carrier handling, insufficient packaging, or other events occurring before delivery to our facility.
Customers should retain carrier tracking information and proof of delivery.
BoardSort.com determines received weight, material classification, deductions, acceptance, and settlement value after inspection.
Contamination, excess packaging, attachments, mixed grades, moisture, prohibited material, or incorrect classification may affect payable weight or value.
BoardSort.com pays customers by company check. We do not make cash payments.
Walk-in customers ordinarily receive their company check before leaving the facility.
Domestic shipments delivered by the United States Postal Service, UPS, or Federal Express are generally included in BoardSort.com's Thursday payment cycle for qualifying material received from the preceding Wednesday through Tuesday.
Freight shipments require additional receiving and processing time and may take approximately one additional week before entering the normal payment cycle.
Payment notifications may be sent by email or another communication method supplied by the customer.
Customers should first review the Price List on the BoardSort.com home page before requesting identification assistance.
Customers who remain unable to identify material may email up to five clear photographs to chris@boardsort.com .
Each photograph should include a visible piece of paper marked with a unique number, such as 1, 2, or 3, so that BoardSort.com can clearly reference the photograph when responding. Photographs of both sides of a board should be included whenever possible.
Identification based on photographs is preliminary and may change after physical inspection.
By providing your mobile telephone number and affirmatively opting into the BoardSort.com messaging program, you consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from BoardSort.com at the number you provided.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of selling material to BoardSort.com or purchasing any product or service.
The messaging program is operated under the name BoardSort.com Messaging.

Message frequency varies. The number and timing of messages depend on your requests, transactions, shipments, and interactions with BoardSort.com.
Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier's standard messaging, data, and other charges may apply.
You may opt out of the BoardSort.com messaging program at any time by replying STOP to a message.
After replying STOP, you may receive one final confirmation message. No additional messages will be sent unless you later provide consent again.

Participating wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is not guaranteed.
Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and messaging consent information are handled according to our Privacy Policy.
We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise provide mobile telephone numbers or SMS opt-in and consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
By providing an email address, telephone number, or other contact information, you represent that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to use it.
You agree that BoardSort.com may use the information to respond to your requests and administer transactions, subject to applicable law and your communication preferences.
You may not use our website, telephone system, messaging services, or other systems to:
We work to keep website and telephone information accurate, but we do not guarantee that all content will always be complete, current, or error-free.
We may modify prices, material categories, hours, procedures, website content, or services at any time.
The BoardSort.com name, website content, photographs, graphics, software, databases, price-list presentation, and other original material are owned by or licensed to Akron Canton Computer Recycling LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Content may not be copied, republished, sold, scraped, redistributed, or commercially exploited without written permission, except as permitted by law.
Our services may rely on third-party providers, including telecommunications carriers, hosting providers, shipping carriers, email providers, and technology vendors.
We are not responsible for interruptions, failures, delays, or acts of third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our website, telephone system, messaging program, information, and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We disclaim warranties not expressly stated in writing, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction serving the location of Akron Canton Computer Recycling LLC, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
