These are tiny components. What are they? I used a webcam lens to get a good clear picture. I have questions pointing to particular parts in the comments of the pictures.

Also ive been trying to ID tantalum Capacitors, exciting.

26F. Not sure off hand but Looks like, based on placement, some sort of ssr (solidstate relay)
the black/silver ones with three numbers, and the silver/brown ones are cmcs (ceramic monolithic capacitors)

C18- fairly sure it's a cmc. Looks like a close colour match to the board green. but not clear. just a very close similar colour.

all those tiny round tubes are resistors. Glass tube resistors. Blue one is just another glass resistor. The white cubes are cmcs

again it's another resistor ;) I'll crack one tonight and test out my new camera app to post a pic of what's inside those.

I can't tell from the photo alone but it's either a polymer resistor or a ceramic ballast.

the green cube is a cmc. The caps are standard aluminium capacitors. They tend to go AL#2 though where the larger cannisters usually go AL#3

So everything you called a CMC can be piled together, all the different colors.
I want to find out what the parts you couldn't ID are, if you want me to test them somehow or slice it open and post another pic I definitely can.

SSR: Should i collect these separately or can I mix it with something?

Pic 004: See the black box with OY and a grey stripe at the end also middle of pic "T2"? Is that a tantalum cap? Another on the bottom left "4D"
Also upper left, has for legs upside-down "3XP". What is that?

So youre saying the black R68 and 120 are just resistors CBM in pic 005?

I have recently noticed i tossed alot of boards in the processed lowgrade boards that had many of these smaller components on the back.

I just made a big pile of those AL canister caps with the big ones some 3/4in diameter. ABCO will take it as AL#3? About how much would AL3 this go for today?

When i have enough I tend to take the CMCs to a jeweler or sell them on ebay. I'm sure if you sorted them you could eventually get /some/ difference but given how many it takes to make even one lb. I just toss them in a 5gal bucket along with silver and nickel solder shavings and silver turnings and sell it as platinum group metals heavy breakage. Like i said ebay or a jeweler.

SSRs I put in with my low weight /plastic ballast materials for cbm3.

If they're sorted abco has a class of sorts for those canister capacitors somewhere just below al#3 but higher than breakage.
Cozzi (C-o'B) who's a bit closer to you buys them as old al which is about the same as Al#3

My general premise for proper sorting if small components.

pic 1: organic copper caps?
Pic 2: What class is each container. (Last container, I read somewhere that those larger ones....Many legs can go into IC class.)
Pic 3: Silver recovery? What are those small white squares.
last pic: CMCs?

It seems you snip off your resistors' legs. Are you leaving the legs on the board?

In the order they posted.
lightweight ballast
Cylinder Resistors
Silver breakage high recovery
Brass/ceramic resistors
Silver fuses.
Big tray is motors (cbm) class #2
Little bin is copper yokes
And finally; CMCs

Resistors never go in ICs regardless of number of pins. Chris would be very unhappy to find that. ;)

Yes I clip the leggs (and on oversized backs the tops too. I pull/pry them out with a robo grip and they (usually) come out easy and complete. If not ill then pull or clip anything left in the board.

The vast majority are silver plated brass (non magnetic) or nickel plated brass (slightly magnetic). Though I've gotten clean nickel, clean silver and even palladium /nickel.
