Hello all! Just getting into the scrap game - I have a steady stream of medical device scrap coming in and want to learn more about identifying and grading boards, and what boardsort purchasing category these samples fall in to. Can anyone here help grade these small samples?

#1 High Telecom
#2 High Peripheral
#3 High Telecom. Remove the ribbon cable entirely from the board.
#4 High Telecom
As a note of caution. #2 shows possible contamination on back side.
Also. #4 shows unusual contamination also.
That can affect grade.
Here to learn like everybody else.
My evaluations are my own opinion.

I still consider myself a novice. But with some experience.
We need a seasoned e-scrapper to comment on possible contamination.

F.R.E.D. came back and graded #1,2,3, High Peripheral. #4 High Telecom.
That was unexpected.
We need another post member to help out.
I don't agree with F.R.E.D. But. I could be overlooking some small detail.

The board in the F.R.E.D. Tool is a different board than the boards in this post. But I see what you mean. I assumed the board I submitted to F.R.E.D. would be High Telecom.

Explain more. You have access to my F.R.E.D. uploads?

Negative. I thought you had access to mine or that mine were public… I’m new here :)

I uploaded a sample to F.R.E.D.yesterday, thought that was the board you were referencing.
