So I get crap tons of wire and copper and was thinking of sending in wire and 1# copper to boardsort as they pay far more then anyone local to me that and I have to take a day off work to take it in locally. My local yard is not the best anymore since the older folks retired the new guys don't know jack too.

Has anyone here sent #1 and wire to them in larger quantities? I cast all my #2 for different projects but #1 and shorter thinner wire I would be willing to send in all day long. I just don't want to be sending in 50+ lb of wire or 100s of lbs of #1 if they're just taking as a courtesy.

They are fine with wire all day long.

that's good because I have a lot of it, and the payout for mix wire is better then 1# wire at my local yard too. gonna send some as a test run with my next shipment.
