I’m a little confused on this.

Does a motherboard from a laptop always go as laptop mobo grade even if it has an integrated chip and not socketed? Or do the ones with integrated chips go as Integrated motherboards?

I would have to say yes. If you review the videos. On Laptop Motherboards. You got the Laptop Motherboard. The evaluation anomalies associated with your board. Can only go Laptop. Hey. Does that board flex? Flip Chip. Where is it? And so on. In my opinion. Submit Laptop. Until Boardsort indicates otherwise. This is an never ending evolving industry. A famous quote. Less is more. Not exactly for Escrap. More an artistic endeavour. As in custom painting automobiles. My point. Escrap evaluations. Stay grounded. It's not what it looks like. But. What it's value is. Boardsort. Final evaluation. Enough said.
Here to learn like everybody else.

Basically you’re looking for a smaller reduced sized motherboard from a laptop (14 inches or larger) with multiple input and output ports/sofkets/jacks and has a cpu, GPU, and multiple controller ICs.

Most laptops have a soldered BGA cpu. Or more rarely a soldered stub pin. But some very high end laptops have socketed CPUs.

Unfortunately for everyone on both sides of scrap what constitutes a “board” of any design is changing quickly.
Keep in mind your cell phone has more ability in you hand than a two drawer file cabinet sized mini from 1980. Things keep getting smaller.

Safe bet would be 2019 laptops and prior will go as Laptop motherboard. Gets iffy like, lost', says from 2020+. Even most tablets and game consoles now go as High per

2000's and earlier laptops, there are components that can class as High tel. It's obvious with the chip density on some of the cards or backplane add-ons/stacks.

What really messed everything up was the ‘netbook’ “revolution—basically a tablet with a keyboard and detached screen.

But slates don’t help either. A true slate will likely get high telco (the Samsung Galaxy Mega, HP UXi, Kindle DX first release). All three examples I’ve sent (back a while) as such.

The motherboard of a TI99 goes as low peripheral? But the, legally questionable, homage/remake the size of a credit card goes as high telco.

So here’s my actually point: don’t get caught up on edge cases. Look through the what is it posts and take a look at the normal grades.
99% of the time things are what the first educated guess is.

Thanks. It would just be helpful if Boardsort at least made a note like "No netbooks" or something on the Laptop motherboard grade to eliminate some easy baseline confusion. It's all an imperfect process, though, and I get that...just trying to avoid unintentionally sending e-soup and getting stuff downgraded.
