Fellow Scrappers,

I would like a second opinion on these CPUs to ensure they are correct, also to know what item to put them under. They have the metal backs on them, is it worth it to go through and pop each of them off?

the first one is correct, green fiber /w metal... its hard to tell from the pics, but as long as those have gold plated pins, that is what they are. if they are just flat gold dots, then they would be pinless cpu's.

the second one is the black fiber category.

Skipping removing the the caps is a wise choice on most cpus. Especially those heavy tungsten carbide ones. I've tried everything from a heatgun to propane and hydrogen torches to baking in an oven (at 850f) to a kiln.
I damage more cpus than i clearly clear and its not worth it since damaging changes valuations.
They melt...burn...crack etc.
Leave that part to the refinery as they ball mill them into dust and separate the metals that way.
