How should a board like this be classified? It's from inside an old "auto switch" parallel interface switch box, and I have a bunch of these.

Thanks in advance This site has been very helpful and I have sold 2 shipments to Boardsort and I am really happy with the entire process.

I want to add that this "auto switch" is for use with computer printers, it's not a car part.

I would harvest the IC chip and plug ends from the board and sell the board as low grade. The plug ends can go as cable ends and the IC chip goes as a regular IC.

Thanks, kgryczan. A clever solution.

I have tried to sell them on eBay but there is zero demand. Someone sold one a few months ago for $3.00 with free shipping, just once. Lol. That would take years, and I am sick of looking at them.

As is they go peripheral. I wouldn't pull anything. Just sold them a few.

edit: mine were all green mask on both sides . I doubt it makes a difference though. They're otherwise identical. 3 al caps, a single io 320 controller chip and three ports.

Good point lostinlodos. I wasn't sure if given the fact that the board was low grade if the presence of the ports would give it a bump to peripheral grade much like the presence of gold pins would upgrade a floppy controller board to peripheral. A while back, Mike the Scrapper published a video to YouTube on what to do with low grade boards to increase profitability.
