I've got this board with a nice looking CPU soldered to it. Looks like what would be considered a gold cap CPU.
Printed on it is HPKY 1FT2-0007 NTFT2A8344 USA 9611 2.4

I've had a few motherboards with embedded CPUs, and they went as standard motherboard board prices. I guess the embedded CPU offsets the lack of a socket.

But, in your case, that board looks pretty rich. I would wait on the pros, you may get telecom price for that one.

Is that a server motherboard? Sure looks like it with all the RAM slots, and riser cards removed.

I wouldn't be surprised if you get telecom for it due to the ic chip population and if the slots are gold platted. I don't know if by removing the processor what you would get for the processor alone and the board.

I'm suspecting that if the CPU is removed, boardsort will buy the CPU as a no-pin and the rest of the board would go as a small socket motherboard. Leaving the board as-is, I would be willing to bet that boardsort will take the board as a high grade board given the presence of the gold capped chip.

I have brought them boards like that with the gold chip in it, and Bruce himself offered me 'high grade gold capped telecom' grade.

That particular chip has gold plated legs on it but no gold cap on the back.

as a general rule, it has been more advantagous to use a heat gun and seperate gold capped chips from the board... but only by a dollar or two. You have to be careful though, you have to get the solder hot enough to pull the chip out whole (BS gives much less for broken chips). If you get the board too hot and it starts burning, the fumes are very toxic.
