Hi Lostinlodos.

In a posting from LisaYates (Hand scanner, this one's for you lostinlodos) you mentioned that the ends from wire in a scanner can be categorized as Silver/Tim Ram. If I trim these ends from ribbon wire what would they qualify as silver/tim ram?

no... they buy that ribbon wire as scrap wire.

most of the value of 'silver' ram is from the ic chips on the stick and not the contact points.

Actually I was told by Chris that the silver and nickel fingers from these flat wires can go in with silver tin ram as long as you have silver tin ram to go with it (along with any other silver fingers) and you have more than a pound or so all together. I've been doing so ever since.
