sent in some Peripheral high/low mid and low grade too. it was all down graded to low grade... stuff was covered in ICs and one board was borderline telco.... yeah that's crappy. the mid/low i sent in was removed all together... definitely going to go elsewhere or get back into processing my e scrap again.

doesn't help the insult of a price i got quoted for a 285k

Did you separate everything?

I do not accept a blanket assertion that Boardsort scammed you. They are too reputable a company to do so.
Also, I accept that from your many posts that display knowledge of the e scrap and experience that very few of us have, neither do I assume that you are making a baseless charge.
Since we have no way of knowing what you sent in, unless you post the invoice of your shipment, and then a detailed print out of the material list as purchased by Boardsort, we don't know the severity of your claim.
Furthermore, we don't know how your material was packaged, separated, and identified on each box, and the separation and markings on each subdivision of each box.
Did the separation fail and different categories in each box get turned into a jumble of mixed soup? Do you have pictures of the material according to your grades to compare with the payout?
Have you contacted Chris for an explanation?
I don't know the current setup, and sorting facility since the new building in Alliance is open. Do they sort there or is it still sent to Wycliff for sorting and payout, or is everything mailed in processed at Alliance?
It is possible that a new hire is not the best at grading just yet. If that were the case, then Managment//Chris needs to know about the dispute or discrepancy.
Austin, you say you are in Ohio, yet it is too far to deliver in 6erson? I drive 600 miles one way frpm CChattanooga at the Georgia state line to deliver in person. I watch as the sorter does his sorter thing, and if there is a question, I get an answer on the spot. On some borderline boards, a newer employee may tend either to the higher grade or the lower, but with everything sorted and boxed, it usually is just a quick flip thru a box, picking out anything that is misplaced, and they will pull out a higher grade board and put it into the correct higher payout grouping.
As a note to those newer to Boardsort, the midgrade and low grade boards and whole hard drives, CD, and other bulky low pay item8s, you lose money trying to ship them in. However, I usually have around four hundred pounds of power supply boards, etc, which the local yards buy as shred for 8 to 18 cents per pound, whereas delivering them in person along with the good stuff to Boardsort pays the cost of delivery. Plus, with a pocket full of easy or "uneasy money wanting to be spent", I have an empty truck to collect rocks in Kentucky, so usually have a load of geodes for the home market.
P.S Due to fluctuation in gold prices and copper prices, On paper I have lost nearly 400 dollars on the load I am working on, in the last two months. However, it is still nearly 400 dollars more payout than it was a year ago when I first started this load.
Austin86, I can relate to your disappointment at receiving less than anticipated, however I am reserving my opinion until we hear clarification from Boardsort, or further information from you.
