Opening up these compact flash cards. Smaller ones have 2 large chips on the front and some have an additional 3 chips covering the entire back. The bigger cards have a large button battery and a small one. The connection is rows of gold plated receptacles for pins. Oscar has said high peripheral to high grade non sata had which is right?

I think you’re fairly safe going with non-sata hard drives on these considering M2 and EPE cards also go there

please remove the batteries first
