Can I just send them a box of boards and hope for the best? I have over 100 green pcb circuit boards I think lol. They are out of hot tubs, the control pack. Are these good boards to scrap?

Yes, you can. In the instructions on this site, unsorted material is called soup Board sort will take them, but the catch is, before shipping you have to fill out the invoice listing the poundage of each class of board, but then there is a big deduction for Boardsort having to hand sort each board from this soup mixture.
Of course, you can post a picture to the What is it for identification, and a, new service is O.S.C.A.R, who can analyze the photo you submit to it.

What if I don’t know what I have??

That's the reason behind this message board! I don't think of myself as an expert, but I know a thousand times more now after years of reading posts here and looking at pictures.

Do you ever get any other types of E-scrap, or just hot tub boards?

In a post from 2023 Chris said they don't accept board soup anymore. However, If you don't get an answer by asking here you can email Chris directly and get some assistance on sorting.

It has been brought to my attention by a customer who apparently misunderstood what I wrote with respect to sending e-soup.

"DO NOT DO IT".

Hopefully that clears up any misconception. I know I previously made mention of sort fee's etc. but that is NOT an invitation to send me boxes of rubbish mixed with low value scrap in hopes that I will sort it out and find some higher value material sprinkled in. Our sorting is for correcting simple mistakes, and not to be used as a service. . . .
- If you do not know what it is, don't send it.

That should clear things up.

E-Soup is evil.

Essoup goes at low grade at its General highest
You may get steel or even no payout. His “you’d be surprised” is a massive understatement!

If you’re scrap is all higher grade a call is warranted.
