A quick question here on IC chips. There is a category for ceramic gold pin chips, but there is not one for plastic gold pin ICs. For scrap payout, what category do gold pin plastic case ICs go in?

The ones I have are early 1970's through ~1980 and Motorola or Burr Brown.

Nope: you’ll need to email Chris for the current placement for those.

Did you ever get an answer? I also have a bunch of plastic DIP ICs with gold pins.

I'd assume Black fiber on the older and Green/Brown fiber on the newer; or even P4.

I had a simliar situation. I emailed Chris. He instructed me to keep them separate from the other plastic DIPs I was sending in. Sorry. I must have deleted that email. But. I looked through my past invoices. I believe he told me to declare them as P4/Grn fiber with metal category. Like Spence1015 mentioned. BUT. AND I SAY BUT. That was years back for me. You best get the current evaluation on those gold legs. Oh. When you get your answer. Please post it. I'm interested and surely others would like to know.
Here to learn like everybody else.
