Hello,
Do you accept Motherboards with the Ceramic Processor still on it? If yes, how much do you pay for those? I would like to have some type of idea before I ship them.
Thanks,
Joe

Depending on the processor it would likely be classed as large socket motherboard For basically anything newer than 586/pentium.
Or, as telco anything older than 486.
Though any gold cap CPUs would make the board high grade gold cap board.
May I ask why you'd leave them in? They're worth considerably more separated.

Thanks very much. I would rather not leave Ceramic Processor on the MB but I can't figure out how to get them off without pulverizing them. I've ruined 2 so far and decided to ask before I kept screwing them up.
Do you have instructions anywhere on how to remove them? I googled it but didn't find anything for "removing ceramic processors".
Much Appreciated,
Joe

If you're able to post a picture that would be the easiest way to tell you what you have and how to remove it. If you can. Some boards do have soldered CPUs. That said I'll update this in a few hours with a better detailed list of how to remove certain types of chips.

dont remove it... i think you have a better chance of getting a higher grade with it on there. at best it would go as a no pin processor (since you said you cant pull them off) and your board will probably go as small socket server board. With it on, i think you are going to get a large socket server board (at worst) and telecom (at best).

That's a nice CPU as is.
Unfortunately it's a soldered SGA. Studs. And the design makes a heatgun removal a waste of energy. You'll spend more in electricity then you're going to recover.

I'd take a guess at large single sockets, or dual small socket.
And I'm leaning to dual small socket despite the single chip. Because:

I can't tell the numbers under the thermal paste but it looks like a dual CPU in a McCP. Two separate CPUs on a single die. All the other requirements are there for a multi CPU board.
You probably won't get telco for it. There's not enough IC population to push it over.
