are they mid grade or low peripheral ? I'm betting the littler one can go as low peripheral. the 3 bigger ones our brown PCB and mostly blank on the back side with the smaller one near the scale's display being green on the back side, it has no chips but a few SMDs on the back side too.

3 big I'd go midgrade
1 little, low peripheral seems right.

From fans?

yep PC fans, most of them have low grade board but some of the 4 pin fans have more IC chips, centrifugal blower fans tend to have even more and often have big brass/bronze bearings. most sleeve bearing fans have brass/bronze bearings too but they tend to be very small. Also bearings brass/bronze is not the same has yellow/red brass, its a hardened bronze with some iron in it so its mildly magnetic, it tends to be mostly alloyed with silicon and not tin too. Nice stuff for making bronze aged tools if you don't want to deal with the dangers of arsenic and don't care about it being a different color.

If I removed the little ICs from the 3 bigger ones would it still be mid/low grade ?

Without the ICs I'd say low grade, that's what made me go with midgrade

since low/mid are both are the same price I'll pull them off and toss them in my IC pile.

I might be crazy lol but when i run out of stuff to scrap i pop the I.Cs off with a wood chisel. A little pressure and they come right off. My yard takes the fans as electric motors if I break the fins off.

I do the same with a box knife.
My local yard does not take them if there is still a bunch of plastic on them not that I would go there anymore, they turned into scammers with the new staff. They paied almost nothing for electric motors anyway. like 10 cents a lb on a good day.

I did find a bigger fan set from an old telecom system box. Cast aluminum housing and each fan had multipe ics and 4 gold plated mosfets.

ohh yeah I pulled those form a lot of tanning beds about a year ago. My local yard tried to claim the alu sheets in it was firegals and said they would take it off my hands so I don't have to have it hauled away by the trash man. Neat seeing 120mm fans that not only run on AC but also are cast aluminum
