I'm trying to sort a box for the first time. I might have a few more things to post later.

• #1 Very shiny gold chip covered telecom board. The dark black frame is steel shielding (not plastic) cemented across the entire top surface of the board. I have made a couple attempts at prying it off but it is really stuck on there. Do I need to try and finish detaching it? Also, everything on top is covered in epoxy.

You need to email Chris at Boardsort. You're between a "rock and a hard place" in my opinion with the board category. The so called epoxy coating is a complication to evaluate. Yes. It is a wonderful looking board. But. The coating. The CPUs you posted. Make an inquire also.

Concur, the steel should be removed but if it's not coming off you'd need to see how Chris would grade it, so many gold caps and he may not care but it's still steel.

The silver pins CPUs, we've had similar posted before but I'm not sure where they fall presently. If you reach out to Chris maybe link this thread so he can check everything.

I think it might loosen more easily if I take a heat gun to it, but I haven't tried yet.
