Personally I would leave as is for midgrade.
It really comes down to your goals and time. If you have lots of time there's nothing wrong with pulling more stuff off boards, but if you don't know what to do with all the individual components I would avoid cleaning a board completely. If you have lots of material to get through and not a lot of time, you need to just get boards to a point where Boardsort will accept them. If your somewhere in between, you can get to choose how much you have time for.
If you have time to spare...if you're able to easily remove heatsinks (these don't look particularly friendly) you can always do that. The largest board soldered onto the main board could probably be pulled for low or high peripheral depending what's on it. You can pull copper off toroids. You can remove capacitors and so on.
