Can I remove the this chip without hurting grade I'm guessing this will go small socket mobo and as you can see one of north and south bridge chip came off while removing the heat sink does that lower the value? Thanks as always for the help ...

i would not remove it... unless the board is less than peripheral grade, you run the risk of downgrading the board by removing items.

That particular chip has a low PM yield to weight ratio because it has an aluminum coated copper heat spreader (or some variant). It is a type of BGA chip that has a laminate style construction.

was there a reason you wanted to keep that chip?

Do not remove the via chip. It's what makes the board a motherboard.
While the prices for small soc and peripheral are the same now that could change at any time.

Remove the via it becomes peripheral.

no reason for keeping it, just wanted to see if I am capable of removing it without breaking it lolz but will listen to the expert and leave it on and make the extra cash. =-D
