There's a lot of junk on this board IMO. Remove all of those big black boxes and copper winding transformers and it would qualify as HGP in my opinion.

At current condition that would be a rare time I would say this is a low-grade/mid-grade board.

I 100% agree with kandroid96 on his evaluation.
Look over the videos covering Low Grade. Midgrade. Low Peripheral and High Peripheral Boards on the Boardsort e-scrap price list. You should see how your pictured board will qualify for High Grade Peripheral after cleaning off the "Junk".
As a matter of fact. Viewing and reviewing the pictures and videos of all the categories will help you develope an understanding of evaluations.
Here to learn like everybody else.

If you remove stuff, do upload another pic after.

Sell as Mid grade, junk adds weight. Not worth cleaning with that much removal. A lot of stuff that could get recycled would be discarded.

Spence1015. I ask for your opinion? On what? Well. An E-scrapper such as me. Your response to Value. Which was. Do not remove components for the sake of weight versus clean PCB. My situation and probably many others is to remove "junk". I mail exclusively to Boardsort. Having said that. I send USPS Ground Advantage. My point. Sending Mid grade. Low grade. Forget it. No way can I pack Mid Grade. Low Grade. I even balk at Low Perpheral and other items at the similar prices. I pack my boxes against postage. As tight as possible. I depopulate. Transformers. Toroids. All metal within reason. Large ELectrolytics. What I discard. I give to a "friend. He deals with the local scrapyard.
Again. Cleaning a board of junk. Can " fit the bill". Especially in escrap and mailing to Boardsort. Respectfully. Spence1015.

I couldn't decide what grade it might be if it was depopulated, why I asked for another picture if they decided to do so. But I'm thinking high peripheral may be a stretch. Mid grade as is for sure.

We've kinda highjacked the thread...Catwhisker, What do you do with your lower grade boards at this point? Do you get enough material to start filling up a gaylord box? My last shipment with two pallets averaged about 30¢ a pound to ship. Some of the material technically wasn't worth shipping but I'm not strictly concerned with profit (though it's nice to have some).

I live only a city or two away from Boardsort. I've been selling to them since the start around 2014. I cherish not having to pack or ship loads to BS and worry about all the logistics. Just me, on a week day trip anytime a load is ready.
I wouldn't take the time on this one because as is, as mid grade, would accumulate more or the same $, as Low Per or even High Per. Cut the cords, wires, bridges n mess what not, and I'd be done with it. I do minimal cleaning on boards now because I disliked the mess of all the materials. I have so many bins, for as is boards , and all the categories ; plus the prices being so high you can get away with minimal work for the same amount of money.

Mark141 At this time. I do not accumulate enough Low Grade or Mid grade to justify waiting to fill a gaylord. Presently I give this stuff to a local scrapper whom I met by chance. And. He grabs big screen TV's. Computers other stuff. He told me he just keeps it. His real money is metal. Aluminum. Copper. So. I give him stuff like Low Grade. Midgrade etc.
I am 68 in full retirement getting rid of a stockpile of electronic stuff. So. This local scrapper is convenient to give stuff to I consider not mailing. And of course mailing stuff to Boardsort.
I do not not see myself going any further into escrap. But. The forum really interests me. I will admit. Sending a gaylord to Boardsort. That would be interesting. I am in Western Pennsylvania. I live about 120 miles from Boardsort. About a 3 hour drive
I have been in the electronic field since I was 15 years old. I have "worn many hats".
To me. It is a great thing Chris started his recycling. His business. Even reaching to a small time scrapper on the streets. Oh. I have been interested in escrap only about 2 years. The forum members that put in thier comments with thier wealth of knowledge is commendable.

Makes sense.

Knowing how different people approach scrapping can be helpful in determining what to recommend. I've been doing this awhile and would love to have the time to take everything apart and sell in the highest grade possible but I don't have that much time. So mostly I try to take apart as much as I can without getting into things that take forever or leave me with scrap that I don't know what to do with. Gold pins stay in their connectors, DVD/floppy drives stay whole and PSUs don't get taken apart unless I see copper heatsinks.
