Pictured is a known Western Digital hard drive board.
I have front and back photos. That surface area to chip population makes me even consider High Intercom. But. Not the point.
O.S.C.A.R. has the one side as High Peripheral. The other side DVD/CD ROM.
There is no gold bearing edge connector. Important point to grade it in either hard drive category. O.S.C.A.R. got that right.
Even the pictures and videos can not qualify this board as Hard Drive. But it is highly populated.
Looking for comments.
I know some scrapper got the correct way to look at that board.
Hoping to learn something on this post.

Looks more like a DVD/CD rom board than a hard drive board to me.

I have to agree. DVD/CD ROM.
I have a box of mystery boards. So. Doing Google lense searches. Board part number searches. O.S.C.A.R. ( Yes. I came to the conclusion it was Hard Drive category. The curse of the mystery internet search. I did not tear down a hard drive to get the board. So. Identification was a mystery.
But. I think your right.
