I figured this isn't "telecom" since it only has a handful of ports. Is it low-grade peripheral due to the coils?

I think, Peripheral High Grade. Based on the number on ICs and the gold tab BGA.

Two of the three have that chip - just noticed that this version does not. Still high grade?

Yes. Both are High Peripheral. Remove that top shield on both. It pops off easily from the top or bottom. Try cutting any wire end as close as possibly or remove in general. Tapes/ adhesives, etc.
