So if I have a golffinger motherboard, would it fall under the fingerboards or motherboards? it’s a motherboard with gold fingers.

I've never seen a gold finger motherboard! What type f socket does it have? Pics would make it easier to figure out.

Seems like you could trim the fingers off and get the same rate. I don't know if you have enough volume to bother trimming fingers.
