Just watched the videos describing high vs low grade hard drive boards. I was always under the assumption that anything non-SATA was considered high-grade. After watching the videos, it seems that only IDE is considered high grade. I'd like to be wrong about that. I have a bunch of SCSI HD boards that I had always assumed were high grade, being that they are non-SATA. Can I get clarification before I get everything weighed out? I can post photos of a few examples.

You are correct, SCSI would be high grade HDD board. It is not shown in the video or pictures but you would be safe. One thing I've run across is newer servers use a newer type drive called SAS which looks kind of like SATA but slightly longer connections, I've been throwing those in low grade HDD since it looks very much like SATA connections.

Thanks! Agreed, SAS is essentially SATA. I've thrown those in with the rest of the SATA boards I have.
