These small board came out of needle destruction units, small battery powered devices that create a high voltage arc across a used needle to vaporize the metal sharp, the large of the two came out of the charging dock.

If read a lot of id threads on this forum and think these boards solidly pass as peripheral, is this right?

What does it really take for a board to pass as low Telecom, not many examples onsite

Based on a general look, the two small ones are peripheral and the long one with length markings is probably low telco.

That said I can’t be sure if I’m looking at flash spill or the metal, but is it gold based alloy solder on that one board (which does exist in medical and ASD equipment)?

Low telco is determined by the person making the grading classification. Here it’s usually myself, but ultimately final grading is verified at the dock by a sorter who makes that determination.
Unlike other classes low telco is more of a thumbs up happy you class. It covers things that belong in a lower class but are exceptionally different enough to make a higher payout classification.
The range of variation in boards (and to reduce conflict) is the basis of my current signature.
The final decision is made by a boardsort employee who, holding the board, decides if it is, or is not, something.

Gotcha, that third board is actually a quick rule on a pcb, the flashing is different component pad sizes, the reverse side has chip package sizes and a wire guage, lots of little things including a trace width guage, bought it at a little local hobby shop , the pricetag said "geekruler" I just put it u
In the picture as an inch rule for scale

I've got a couple hundred units of the whole device, and there not going anywhere, unfortunately I think the nicd's are going to the hazmat collection

I followed on the measuring tool. I have a similar one.
I’m actually looking at the left board. But now out of the sun (my screen shield is a bit wonky with colours in Sunlight) I can see it’s reflection. ;)
