What is the grade of these chips from before Boardsort?

I some what recently acquired these drives and was wondering if they could make HDD class still. The first one still appears to still have everything, while the second one is missing the two chips which are on the left. It is also missing the gold pin connector. All help is appreciated!

If the second one is not capable of making HDD class than what would the 2 lose chips go as?

Ouch. New meaning to “hard drive crash”.

Tape or bag the board parts together with the flat pack and they’ll go as hard disk boards.
