The small board with the ribbon cable with the gold pads is from an all-in-1 injet printer. Should I pull the ribbon off? There are gold colored contacts on all of these.

5) low grade. Remove wire
If you trim down the wire careful to the contacts you can toss the gold contact section in with clean gold fingers
