Not sure if these are worth fooling with. I have a ton of these CATV commercial modulators and satellite receivers. Wanted to post board pics for evaluation before I went to the trouble of tearing them down.

Peripheral
?
Low/mid
Midgrade

?—you’re starting at midgrade but you may want to send in a single sample and have them test the flashing and do a visual review.
Occasionally you come across a production that has the right requirements to bump to peripheral. Such as heavy tin flashing, or silveride. That’s not something that can be judged by a photo.

I will probably just trash the low/mid grade ones then. It would cost me more to ship them than they would be worth. I am not sure how many of the ? modulator's I have. I will send in a "sample" with other boards when I get enough to fill some boxes.

Over the years I’ve come across some really bizarre stuff that has been sent in for ‘evaluation’ before sending in a whole load of them. I always got a classing, and usually a reason why.
