I have a number of these old components, which I believe are early 1960's in age. The leads are gold plated. Can these be snipped off and sold as gold pins? The second question is: What are they? They are not resistors (no continuity), capacitors, or inductors. They are composed of a sealed ceramic tube on the outside. Inside, the leads connect to what appears to be a ceramic rod that runs down the center of the tube. The rod is painted brown. The bottom left shows one that is broken open.
