In my opinion. No way Gold Cap. Why? If that IC had a gold cap on it. AND you removed the gold cap. You would find the same gold laden interior. As you have pictured. The manufacturer made a smooth move putting a non gold cap on those chips. But. I am sure it performs. That board is High Telecom. In my opinion. It's a good example of good engineering to save money and yet get circuit board performance.

The video's purpose is to show the masking etc. On the die. But. You can clearly see the gold involved under the chip. So. Technically even though you have uncovered gold under the that non gold covering. Your short changing the grade by going for Gold Cap. Why? The Gold from the Cap isn't there. You dont have a Gold Cap. It's High Telcom.
