Is anyone familiar with this chip? I’ve got a bunch of them. Each has its own engraving such as 601m, 966m, 922j, 844m. I think these aren’t original and where part of the scrapping process

Can't read the numbers to try to look anything up and I don't recognize it.

I'd email Chris if nobody recognizes it in a few days.

Most likely microwave application. Test equipment. Radar. Communication. Military or civilian. How about a back view? That identification etched on the board. Can you read it? With a magnifying glass? Are all the other chips that same? Maybe another one of those chips is readable.
Here to learn like everybody else.

I don’t think the numbers are part of the original chip and more a part of the decommissioning process

Being that you have enough of these chips to make ounce weight or poundage, get it tested by BS.

This is something they can scan with the analytic gun, PMI or XRF gun.

These chips look quite grand and by the looks of it might even have pure gold tethering's to the dies(rare but happens). Something of this nature and with obvious potential of being a gold cap gold chip and prominent gold with no meta identity , always send it in to test

I was looking at these numbers, not the scratched ones.

Jubez. Can you just post the identification letters/numbers that you can read. Just put an $ as a place holder sign where it is too scratched to read. For example. Ag75$xc3. I would like to attempt some AI searches. Al will happily try to place mysterious numbers etc. I got the time to play around searching. Could end up an interesting endeavour.
Here to learn like everybody else.
