I suggest you view the videos covering Motherboards found on this forum. In the Annoucements: The Motherboard Game. Under the Material Notes and Descriptions section: Understanding the Changing World of Motherboard Classes. Under the What it is? Identification Forum: How to Grade Motherboards. Also the short video covering the same subject. In the e-scrap price list. Short video critiques of each Motherboard category help. It can be time consuming and frustrating to try and absorb all the information. But. That is "where its at!" so to speak to understanding scrapping Motherboards I'm still new at e-scrapping. But. I do know you do not have to remove the Metal Socket hardware. Heatsinks should be removed. Other light metal can stay. Remove any batteries. Hopefully an old timer will post an answer also.
