I know Lost has pointed out some older ones with gold innards before.

May need to disassemble one to decide best course of action on the rest.

Spence1015. Just put the whole gold pin dip switch in connectors? Great. Easy. Or do I have to remove some plastic?

Whole unit.

You can break them down for gold goodies if you're saving or separate pins but I think the simplest is tossing in GPC

They are connection ends. As is.

However they may be worth taking apart. Often there’s a tiny silver or gold ball inside. Or a silver plated piece of metal.

If it’s easy enough for you to open/ break them you get gold pins, a gold or silver ball (gold pin or silver plate) or a silver strip (silver plate)

Which after weighing may or may not be worth more than connector ends.

This is why I suggested taking one apart (or one of each type). See what's there and either take them all apart or not.

Also , test silver balls with a magnet
If they stick slightly they are probably white gold. Usually 8-12k heavy nickel.
If gold balls don’t stick at all take them and the white gold to a reputable jewellery buyer. They are worth more than plate

First of all. Thanks for the wealth of input. I decided mainly out of curiousity. To open up the pictured dip switches. Seems an effective method to open the dip switches was putting them in a bench vice and slowly tightening down till the housing cracked. Then using a pick to open the switch further. That prevented parts scattering all over the workbench as in trying other methods. Found various switch contacts. Gold balls. Swipe contacts. Gold and silver. Everything is going gold pins. But. I will be going connectors when I can when I find more. I attached a few photos if they can help.
Here to learn like everybody else.
